Step One - Talk With Us
When you contact us, our professionals will answer your immediate questions, listen to your immediate concerns, and provide the information that will enable you to move forward. Sometimes, just talking with us is all you need to make your decision. Sometimes, you'll want and need more.
Even if you live in a state outside of New England, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are happy to speak with you via phone or email, and are able to arrange local assistance for you through our partner agencies across the United States.
Step Two - Meet With Us
Our meetings are confidential, non-judgmental and sensitive to your needs. We help you sort through feelings. We provide you full and accurate information about the social, emotional, and legal aspects of adoption. Then, if you choose, we assist in making an adoption plan to best meet your needs and those of your baby. We guide you to available resources that help carry out your plan.
Step Three - Select an Adoptive Family
If you choose ADOPTION for your child, you may also choose to:
>Select your child's adoptive family from among families who have been pre-screened and approved for adoption by our staff
>Meet your child's adoptive family
>Receive periodic pictures and updates, and possibly visits, as your child grows
We help to put your plan and decisions into action by introducing you to appropriate families who meet your chosen criteria.
Step Four - Your child's birth and beyond
The birth of your child is a challenging time, and so is the time after you leave the hospital. You can rely on your LSSNE representatives for support before, during, and after your hospital stay.
