At Lutheran Social Services of New England, we are pleased to offer international adoption programs to families living in Connecticut (CT), Massachusetts (MA) New Hampshire (NH), Rhode Island (RI)., and families nationwide.

Ni hao! My name is Darlene Lundy. In 1995, my family became one of the earlier pioneering American families to adopt a child from China. Our adoption agency, Lutheran Social Services of New England, was among the first adoption agencies to facilitate China adoptions. Today, as LSSNE’s International Adoption Specialist, it is my privilege to help families like yours do the same, adopt a child overseas, not only in China but in ten international countries.

International adoption is an amazing journey. When you begin to consider it, the issues and choices can feel overwhelming. Selecting a country and an agency is an important decision that you want to make carefully.

The professionals at Lutheran Social Services of New England understand the complex issues. Many of our staff are themselves members of the adoption triad, and can identify with the emotions you will undoubtedly experience as you embark on this adventure.
