
Andrea Juliane Ruhe-Sokolowski’s arrival on September 6th 1986 at Bradley International Airport marked the first international adoption coordinated through Lutheran Social Services of New England. Not quite six weeks old at the time, Andrea left behind the unrest in Chile for a new life in the United States with her adoptive parents Ken and Barbara Ruhe-Sokolowski of Wethersfield, CT and four-year-old brother, Christopher.
