A series of open discussions for adoptive parents, adults in the process of adopting, and those thinking about adoption. Join us for facilitated discussions on a variety of topics unique to adoptive family life. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and chat with adoptive parents!

SIBLING ISSUES IN ADOPTIVE FAMILIES

For many adoptive families, issues arise with regard to sibling relationships: birth siblings placed together or separately, blended families with both birth and adopted children, siblings who have different levels of contact and/or information about birthfamily, sibling relationships within the family, etc. Discussion addresses any and all sibling issues that have arisen for families and include strategies for dealing with them.

Carol Hovey, LMFT and Adoptive Parent will share strategies and materials for creating - or extending - your child'sLifebook, including not just the "product" but also the "process" and its importance for adopted children and their families.
