




New England-Based Adoption Agency Launches
Vietnam Adoption Program
June 11, 2007...Lutheran Social Services of New England (LSSNE) is pleased to announce the official re-opening and licensing of its Vietnam Adoption Program. After months of research, gathering documents, and communicating with government officials in Vietnam, LSSNE was granted a license by the Vietnamese Government for the placement of Vietnamese orphans in adoptive homes. The first babies are expected to arrive in their new adoptive homes this summer.
Applications are currently being accepted from singles and couples nationwide. Known in Vietnam as Lutheran Child Welfare Services, Lutheran Social Services of New England established its adoption office in Hanoi and formed a charitable relationship with an underserved institution that is home to more than 100 disabled and elderly adults, children, and orphans. The facility is located in the city of Ninh Binh some 40 miles southeast of Hanoi. In addition to finding permanent families for orphaned children, Lutheran Child Welfare Services is committed to improving the quality of life for all residents of the facility.
Lutheran Social Services of New England (LSSNE) has been finding homes for children for more than 135 years.
