Waiting Parents
Mark & Denise .. waiting in Connecticut
Dear Expectant Mother,
This must be an incredibly difficult time for you as you struggle with a decision that will forever impact your life and the life of the child you are carrying. Whatever you decide, know that we respect you and applaud your decision to give your child the gift of life. We know that this act of love speaks volumes of your selfless commitment to your baby’s well-being.
Thank you for this opportunity to tell you a little about ourselves. We would love to be able to meet with you personally to answer any further questions you may have. We met through mutual friends five years ago and we were married two years ago. We have always envisioned having children and helping them to live, love, and grow to their full potential. After trying to conceive throughout our marriage we now believe that adoption is the right path for us to grow our family.
Deinse is a registered nurse employed in a medical and surgical instensive care unit of a large medical center. Mark is self-employed as a locksmith and welder. We are able to arrange our work schedules to maximize our time together. When we become parents, we are fortunate that we will be able to arrange for one of us to be at home at all times. We think that this will offer our child a strong sense of security as well as the certainty of consistent loving care.
We believe that we have much to offer a child: unconditional love, unlimited individual attention, a stable, warm, comfortable and nurturing home environment, a loving extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles and six cousins who range in age from 5 to 16 years, and a playful dog named Kita. We look forward to sharing family vacations, holiday gatherings, and celebrations to mark special occasions with a child of our own.
We admire you for your strength in considering adoption as a plan for your baby's furture. We would love the opportunity to bring your child into our home and our lives and would concider it to be a great blessing and answer to our prayers. We would certainly love and cherish, with all our hearts, the child that you carry.
We will always convey our positive feelings about adoption to our child who will know how much we respect and admire his/her birthparents for the decision they made. We believe that adopted children have an absolute right to information about their backgrounds and we expect to share what we know of you throughout his/her life. We are open to sharing pictures and information with you about our child's progress through the years as well.
Thank you for considering us as parents for your baby. Whatever your decision, we wish you well and pray for your baby's safe arrival.
Sincerely,
Mark & Denise
