Domestic: Waiting Children

For Connecticut and Massachusetts families only

The Domestic Waiting Children Program is available through our Connecticut and Massachusetts offices for families interested in adopting an older child, or a child with mental, physical, or emotional issues. In partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Social Services and Connecticut Department of Children & Families, we invite you to learn about our Domestic Waiting Children adoption services. We are committed to identifying and preparing families who can open their hearts and homes to a child or sibling group experiencing the aftermath of neglect or abuse, who have complex medical needs, or who have unusual educational or behavioral problems, or whose parents' rights have not yet been terminated. Expenses in connection with our Waiting Children adoption program are often covered in full by the State agency responsible for their care prior to placement in adoption.
