Tom & Michele .. waiting in Connecticut

Dear Expectant Mother,

This time in your life must be difficult, as you explore the many options for you and your baby. We would like to thank you for considering us as prospective parents for your child. You can feel confident that your child will be brought up in a safe, secure and loving environment.

We met while attending the same college in Pennsylvania. We were drawn together and instantly became friends. We began dating one year after meeting and were engaged four years after that. We just celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. We have one daughter, Anna, who is 4 years old. After a difficult pregnancy and delivery, for both Anna & Michele, the doctors recommended that Anna be our last biological child.

We live in a ranch home in a shore community in Southern Connecticut. Our house has three bedrooms, 2 baths and a nice living space for children. Our community is diverse. It offers many programs for both adults and children. We enjoy being surrounded by several parks that we visit often and we are members of our local church.

We enjoy spending time together and with our families and friends. During spring and summer months you will find us taking walks, going to the beach, visiting amusement parks, attending local festivals, going to the zoo and participating in library programs. In fall and winter, we like to visit farms to pick our own apples, make snowmen and go sledding. We also like to take family vacations yearly.

Tom works in television production. He has a passion for sports. Any Sunday or Monday, you will find Tom watching his favorite football team on television. He also enjoys watching baseball, basketball and hockey. He is a very loyal fan.

Michele stays at home to raise our daughter Anna. She sacrificed a rewarding career in business to do so. Michele enjoys scrapbooking. This involves putting photos with family memories into books for future generations.

Anna is our 4-year-old daughter. She is an outgoing and beautiful little girl. She enjoys painting, playdoh, reading, going to the movies, making sandcastles, swimming in the pool, visiting family and friends and playing with her dolls. Anna attends preschool 3 days a week at a local Catholic school. She is looking forward to becoming a big sister.

Our extended families are an important part of our life. Not many weeks go by that we are not spending time with them at a barbecue, birthday party or holiday celebrations. One nice part is that both of our families attend all functions together. We never have to divide time between the two families.

We are excited about our decision to adopt. We look forward to Anna having a baby brother or sister to love. She is excited too! Our family and friends have given us full support on our decision.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
